SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES SIXTH
REVIEW BY PEERS
Seidel, Schroeder & Company is pleased to announce the successful completion of the sixth independent peer review of their accounting and auditing practices. The purpose of a peer review is to provide outside verification that a CPA firm is in compliance with the stringent quality control standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Peer reviews are required for membership in the AICPA Center for Public Company Audit Firms. Seidel, Schroeder and Company has been a member of the AICPA Center for Public Company Audit Firms (or its predecessor, the AICPA SEC division) since November 1988.
The Houston firm of Harper and Pearson Company, P.C. under procedures established by the AICPA conducted the peer review. They made an independent assessment of the firm’s quality control policies and procedures in addition to inspecting working papers and reports. This assessment was based on a representative sampling of bookkeeping and auditing engagements. Also, the firm’s administrative files and records were inspected and professional personnel were interviewed. The conclusions reached by Harper and Pearson were reviewed in detail and approved by a committee of the AICPA.
“We are pleased
that our accounting and auditing practice has been recognized
by outside reviewers as meeting the most stringent standards
established by the AICPA. We have always been proud
of the quality work that we do for our clients. We are
pleased with the results of this review and look forward
to continuing to deliver quality services to our clients.”
